HEALTH AND SAFETY

All construction works in the UK are subject to CDM (Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015). Under CDM 2015, each member of the project team need to be aware of their duties, these duties are wide ranging and will vary dependent on the size and type of the job.

Part of a Client's duties is to formally appoint a Principle Designer and Principle Contractor. Thistle Steel have the competences to undertake both of these roles if required. As Principle Contractor, Thistle Steel's duties would include production of the Construction Phase Plan and management of the Health & Safety file. We have assured experience in complying with our CDM duties and apply the legislative framework to ensure projects are handled safely and rationally.

The Client is also obliged to issue an F10 (Notification of construction project form) to the HSE (only for work lasting longer than 30 days with more than 20 workers working at the same time, or involving 500 person days of work). 3CB are here to help with any questions, regarding your duties under the CDM regulations.
